The name Oakwell comes from wanting something that felt solid rather than trendy. Oak trees don't rush; they just quietly do their thing, year after year.
I spent 23 years working in sales offices before I finally admitted I wanted something different — more freedom, and honestly, more joy in how I spent my days.
That decision led me into virtual assistant work back in 2018, and it turned into something I genuinely loved. I picked up a small business award from Theo Paphitis along the way, had a bit of local press coverage, and built a client base I was proud of, including one client I've now worked with for almost seven years.
Along the way I trained as a Certified Online Business Consultant, which gave me a much broader toolkit than admin alone — everything from systems and processes to the practical side of how a small business actually runs day to day. Combined with years of hands-on experience, it means I bring a bit more to the table than task-based support.
That's really the whole idea behind Oakwell, admin support that's steady, considered, and genuinely useful, rather than a long list of services nobody asked for.
I'm not chasing being the busiest name out there. I'd rather do focused, reliable work for a handful of businesses than spread myself thin across everything and everyone. If you need your systems tidied up, documents sorted, or a project handled properly and on time, that's exactly where I'm most useful, and honestly, where I do my best work.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me out in nature, dog walks by the sea or in the countryside are my happy places.
